Chronological Bible Study
For quite a while now the late session has been studying the Book of Acts on a monthly basis. However, the late session leaders have decided that we have now covered most of the main themes in the book of Acts, and therefore that it is time to move onto something else.
Not so long ago we studied a chronological Bible study of 8 parts looking at the Bible as a whole and the messages within it. It was a very valuable exercise, and taught us a lot about God's Big Plan throughout the Bible and throughout history. Unfortunately, only 3 of the current members got to experience it! and we feel that it was such an important study, that we are going to replace the Acts Study with the chronological study.
There are 8 sessions in total, which span the entire Bible from cover to cover. The 8 sessions are entitled:
THE OLD TESTAMENT
- The Pattern of the Kingdom
- The Perished Kingdom
- The Promised Kingdom
- The Partial Kingdom
- The Prophesised Kingdom
THE NEW TESTAMENT
- The Present Kingdom
- The Proclaimed Kingdom
- The Perfected Kingdom
The sessions come complete with maps, handouts and guides to make the Bible, and God's Big Amazing Plan, more accessible and understandable. It will help us to understand exactly why Jesus had to do what He had to do!
