Epiphany - what will you do this year?

The Magi brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to Jesus

Matthew 2:11
On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.

As a group, we have been thinking about that gifts that the Magi brought:

  • GOLD - a kingly gift - Jesus is King over all
  • FRANKINCENSE - an offering in worship - Jesus is our Great High Priest
  • MYRRH - an embalming fluid - Jesus was crucified and buried

Their gifts were very prophetical and symbolic - how did they know?

 

SO WHAT IS GOD ASKING YOU TO BRING TO HIM THIS YEAR?

  • Obedience?
  • Worship
  • Your whole self?
  • Trust?
  • Vocation?
  • Committment?
